These are the British Values taught in School:

  • DEMOCRACY
  • RULE OF LAW

  • School council is voted for by the pupils – democratic vote

  • We instil nurturing values and attitudes in children e.g. teaching them the importance of caring for each other as well as our environment; littler picking; singing at local care homes; charity work etc
  • Trips and visits throughout the year
  • Visitors to school
  • Assemblies – talk about Respect, Achieve, Aspire / Diversity and other cultures
  • Culture week every year
  • Disability Awareness Day – athletes in school with disabilities
  • Peer Mentors, Playground Buddies, First Aid Champions
  • Pupil Voice – Subject Ambassadors
  • Intergenerational jubilee Day – elderly residents helped us celebrate the Jubilee in an afternoon of singing, games and afternoon tea.
  • Through displays around school
