It’s OK (Please Just Say)

Activity Plan

  • Listen to the song ‘It’s OK (Please Just Say) and watch the video.
  • Use the song words to sing-a-long.
  • Using ideas from the video, make a sock puppet.
  • Draw around your hand on a piece of paper. Write ideas and draw pictures inside and around it about ‘the things you do to stop feeling blue.’ (Look at the example to help you.) Colour it in. Make it bright and cheerful-maybe use the colours of the rainbow!
  • Listen and watch the song video again and focus on the ‘rap’ in the bridge section. (It has been highlighted in yellow.) Look at the short videos that you can see of different children doing different activities with their sock puppets.
  • Download the song words (lyrics) and use the ideas from your hand drawing to re-write the rap. (You don’t have to change all of it if it includes some things that you enjoy too.)

Chat to your hand puppet, or text a friend.
