- Watch and listen carefully to Mrs Freer’s video.
- Follow the reading of Home from the Sea - Ending. These are the last lines of a story from Short! What can you tell about Jack and his father? What do you think might have happened in the story before?
- Follow Mrs Freer’s answers to the Back –Story Prompts.
- Read Last Lines for two stories - Ghosteses and These are more final lines from stories from Short! Answer the Back-Story Prompts. Write your answers in clear sentences and answer the challenge for each extract. What might have happened to lead to this situation?
- Now read the Whole Stories for those two extracts. Which was most similar to your predictions? Which was most different?
- Share your work with your teacher.
