Task for Thursday
- Watch and listen carefully to Mr Watson’s video.
- Today you will be using a published source of information to fact check some commonly reported statements: the texts come from True or False? Dorling Kindersley which Mr Watson shared with you.
- Read Research Statements. What are your first reactions? Have you heard these said before? How could you check them?
- Now look at the Pages from True or False? Read them carefully, researching facts to help you decide if each statement is true – you are fact checking.
- On a lined piece of paper, write a response to each statement. Explain if it is true or not and if you expected this to be the case. Did you already have a feeling about its truth or not.
- Share your work with your teacher.
- Challenge – Read the “fast facts” for each statement. Choose your favourite statement and write it in your own words.
